Many of us have erroneous stereotypes that prevent us from living. Let's try to get rid of at least some of the misconceptions of adults associated with children's walks.
Of course, the kid will be happy to ride on a swing for some time, but do not expect that for a very long time. Sooner or later (depending on his temperament) he will try to sneak off the site in search of more interesting places. And the interests of a small researcher may seem strange to an adult, to say the least. Although, if you remember your own childhood ... Surely you were also fascinated by giraffes-cranes; worms crawling out onto the path; small gates in high fences and, of course, puddles!
The child may not get into a puddle. The baby's cognitive needs are so great that he simply has to get into it. Otherwise, how will he know that it is made of water, the water is wet and splashes on impact? And also that the stone sinks, but the stick does not? Coping with stress is easy for mom: all you need to do is put on rubber boots for a walk after the rain. Yes, and also make sure that there are no passers-by nearby at the moment when the child begins to explore the splashing abilities of the puddle.
The child may not pick up the trash. This is trash for you and treasure for your baby. Instead of constantly tugging at the child and hitting his hands, choose objects that are dangerous, which are strictly prohibited to take. If the list is not long, you can agree by explaining to the crumbs what exactly is the danger of a broken bottle or syringe. Be sure to take wet wipes with you for a walk, you can use antiseptic. Well, if easy ways are not for you, try to find a site in our city where there is no garbage.
A child can come clean from the street. Can not! You have to come to terms with this. Stock up on stain removers and learn that you should not wear the most elegant and expensive of suits for a walk. If the road from the park to the house requires a decent view or you are going to visit after a walk, just bring a spare T-shirt with you. And although grass stains are not so visible on green-brown camouflage jeans, I advise you to wear brighter things on your child so that it is easier to pick him out from bushes or a crowd of other children.
The child is always freezing. In fact, the metabolism of children is several times more intense than that of adults. Consequently, a child generates more heat per unit of time than an adult. Conclusions: where the adult is cool, the child is normal. Where it is normal for an adult, the child is warm. Where the adult is warm, the child is hot. In addition, you are sitting on the bench, and the child rushes about without respite. It is difficult for him to freeze, another thing is to sweat and catch a cold because of this.
Dress your child as warmly as possible. Observations show that children who are heavily wrapped are more likely to get sick. Moreover, experts note that it is dangerous to dress children who already know how to walk too warmly. The fact is that the movements by themselves warm the body and there is no need to put on "a hundred clothes" on the child. If the baby is nevertheless dressed in this way, then heat exchange in his body is disturbed and as a result he overheats. And then even a slight draft is enough for the child to catch a cold. When a child moves a lot, then his natural desire is to be naked and expose himself to the moving air. Seeing this, parents most often shout: "Buckle up, you will catch a cold!" (not only is this incomprehensible to children, but parents also "give an attitude toward illness"). Wouldn't it be better, instead, to dress your child appropriately for the weather and his physical activity?
Clothing should fit snugly around the body to keep warm. Quite the opposite is true. The most reliable means of protection from the cold is air, and in order to best protect against low temperatures, an air gap must be created around the body. Warm, insufficiently spacious clothes are very good for this.
If the baby is cold, he will definitely let you know about it. Experts note that usually a child under 2-3 years old cannot say: "I am cold", he does not know how to chatter and tremble. This is explained by the fact that the fatty layer under the skin is still very small and the thermoregulation system has not been fully formed. Therefore, the only reaction of a severely frozen baby will be a sharp pallor and an irresistible desire to sleep. This is what parents should pay attention to and not be touched when a child falls asleep in a sled in the cold. There is nothing good in such a picture. After all, the child lies motionless in cold weather.
A child with a cold does not need to walk. This is only true if the baby has a fever. In all other cases, walks are required. In the fresh air, even a runny nose seems to recede, the nose clears and begins to breathe. Not a reason to give up walking even in cold weather. It is only important to ensure that the child does not breathe through his mouth, so that he is not blown by the wind and he does not sweat.
In winter, one hour is enough for a walk. Children need to be outdoors at any time of the year, including the weather, which is commonly called "bad" ("bad weather" is also a kind of myth, "nature does not have bad weather, every weather is grace", as you know). Many parents think that you can walk for an hour in winter and that is enough. And if you walk more, it can harm the baby. However, according to experts, there are no strict rules on this matter. Much depends on the hardenedness of the child and the weather, in particular the air temperature.
Naturally, for an infant who is only a few days old, the walking time should be limited (especially in severe frosts: below minus 10 degrees. But with a child who is already a month old, you can safely walk for longer - a few hours. that the maximum allowable temperature for walking with a baby in the first year of life is minus 15 degrees, and high humidity and wind are considered dangerous "companions" of cold air. ”Experts also note that children can tolerate the cold much better if they eat well before the walk. The best food in this case is the one that is rich in carbohydrates and fats.
